Reconstruction of the international airport of Kostanay will begin this year

Now the development of design estimates for the reconstruction of the runway and the building of the terminal itself. According to preliminary calculations, the long-awaited restructuring will cost 15.6 billion tenge. The runway will also be lengthened, the airport will receive the necessary modern equipment, including inspection, and the building area will increase to 10 thousand square meters. As the director of Kostanay International Airport, Yuri Kim, after the repair we will be able to accept any aircraft without restrictions. The plans also include the construction of two telescopic gangways that will relieve passengers of inconveniences in bad weather. After the completion of the reconstruction, one can expect a good economic effect due to the increase in flights and passenger traffic. Today we are talking about 25 flights a week and an annual flow of passengers of 125 thousand people. These indicators will have to significantly grow.
