Lecture on "Counteracting Corruption in the Public Service"

09.08.2017 for the employees of the branch in Kostanay region RSE "Gosexpertiza" was organized and conducted a lecture-conversation with the participation of the chief specialist of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Department of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kostanay region Sheriyeva MT.   During the lecture Sheriev M.T. spoke about the activities of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service and Anti-Corruption in Kostanay region, the functions performed by it.   She told about the Anti-Corruption Strategies of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2025. Its goal is to increase the effectiveness of the state's anti-corruption policy, to involve the entire society in the anti-corruption movement by creating an atmosphere of zero tolerance for any manifestation of corruption and a reduction in corruption in Kazakhstan. The key areas of anti-corruption, defined by the Strategy, are: • Counteracting corruption in the public service; • introduction of the institution of public control; • anti-corruption in the quasi-public and private sectors; • prevention of corruption in law enforcement and judicial bodies; • formation of the level of anti-corruption culture; • development of international cooperation on anti-corruption issues.   She dwelled in detail on the Law on Counteracting Corruption. It came into force on January 1, 2016. The structure of the Law ((On Combating Corruption ") consists of 5 chapters and provides 27 articles.This Law regulates social relations in the field of combating corruption and is aimed at implementing the anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.   In conclusion, she noted that the law has strengthened new approaches to work in the field of combating corruption and increases the professionalism of public servants, which leads to more effective work of the state apparatus, taking into account the best international practices.   The collective of the branch expressed gratitude to the chief specialist Sheriyeva MT. for conducting a cognitive lecture-conversation.
