Seminar on a theme «Designing and construction of electric power objects»

From June, 26 till June, 29th, 2012 in the city of St.-Petersburg (the Russian Federation) has passed a seminar on a theme: «Designing and construction of electric power objects» passed under the initiative and at support of the Russian Scientific technical information center «Progress» in which experts RSE «Gosexpertiza» have taken part.
At a seminar following themes have been considered:
- Devices of relay protection and automatics. Operating experience of relay protection in cable network Lenenergo. Modern requirements for devices of relay protection and automatics at designing. Recommendations on designing relay protection. Approaches to a choice of the relay equipment. Design procedures of relay protection;
- Switching and protective devices. Classification, principles of action, comparative characteristics. The principle of selecting switchgear voltage above 1000 V. The Technical policy of JSC «Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System» on application of switching and protective devices. Circuit breakers and method of their choice;
The requirements of regulatory authorities for the design of electric power facilities. Review of legislation and regulations on the basis of development, coordination, approval, and the composition of the design documentation for electricity power projects of enterprises, buildings and structures. Examination Requirements for projects on electricity. The procedure for admission to the operation of electric organs of RTN. Typical errors in the design;
- Calculations of key parameters in designing electrical networks up to 1000 V. The methods determine the electrical loads. Selection and preparation of schemes of power. The selection and testing of conductors on the heating and loss of voltage. Calculation of short circuit currents. Bonding system. Lightning protection. The calculation of grounding devices. The choice of compensating devices;
- The use of EPLAN in the design and reconstruction of energy facilities.
As part of the seminar held a meeting with a visit to the transformer substation of 110 kV «Borovaya» in St. Petersburg. Upon completion of training specialists and experts received a certificate of short-term professional development.
