Gosexpertiza discussed the project "Construction of a submarine Fiber-Optic Line along the Caspian sea bed"

The project involves the design and construction of a submarine fiber-optic communication line (FOCL) along the Caspian Sea bed. The preliminary route connecting Aktau (Kazakhstan) and the Sumgait area (Azerbaijan) will span approximately 380 km.
Today, RSE “Gosexpertiza” held a meeting with representatives of Kazakhtelecom JSC and contracting organizations participating in the project. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the project team with the procedures for conducting a comprehensive interdepartmental expertise.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the processes of developing and reviewing an international project and answered investors’ questions. Y.Tikibaev, First Deputy General director of RSE “Gosexpertiza,” emphasized the enterprise’s readiness to provide consulting and methodological support to ensure the proper submission of documents for state expertise.
It is noted that the project is being implemented under an agreement between the Governments of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Azerbaijan on the joint construction of fiber-optic communication lines along the Caspian Sea bed. The project operator on the Kazakhstan side is Kazakhtelecom JSC, and on the Azerbaijan side — Azertelecom Int. LLC.
