RSE “Gosexpertiza” approves BRT Line construction project in Almaty

RSE “Gosexpertiza” issued a positive conclusion on the project documentation for the construction of a BRT line from the existing BRT line to Raimbek avenue: the section from Timiryazev street (from Baitursynov street to Zheltoksan street) and Zheltoksan street to Raimbek avenue in Almaty.
Project objective: Establish a public transport corridor system and passenger infrastructure that ensures priority movement for public transport. The creation of dedicated bus lanes will increase transit speed and encourage public transport usage.
Construction Phases:
• Phase 1: Section from Timiryazev street (Baitursynov street to Zheltoksan street) and Zheltoksan street to Raimbek avenue.
• Phase 2: Section from Tole Bi street (Zheltoksan street to Ormanov street).
The total length of the planned section is up to 5 km, lane width 3.5–4 m, with 18 public transport stops.
