Roundtable of Designers and Architects held as part of KazBuild and Aquatherm 2025 in Almaty

On September 4, 2025, in Almaty, within the framework of the leading industry exhibitions KazBuild and Aquatherm, a roundtable of designers and architects was held to discuss current issues in the development of the architectural and construction industry in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
The event was attended by leading specialists, representatives of government and private organizations, as well as international experts. Participants discussed key topics affecting the development of architectural and construction design in the region:
• The process of design and expert review in BIM;
• Professional licensing and certification of designers in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• Issues related to the cost of designers’ labor;
• The use of modern technologies: BIM, artificial intelligence, 3D printing.
The roundtable featured the participation of: the Executive director of NAPR RK, the Head of the Young Architects section of the UAA, the chief specialist of the BIM Technologies Department of RSE “Gosexpertiza,” the Chairman of the Union of Young Architects of Uzbekistan, the Director of the KAZGOR Design center, the Executive director of Autodesk for Development in Central Asia and the Balkans, the director of CAD.kz, representatives of CAD systems, representatives of Alcor, as well as the Director and Founder of Enter-AR.
From RSE “Gosexpertiza,” Saken Kashkimbayev, Chief specialist of the BIM Technologies department, gave a presentation at the roundtable.
During the discussion, expert opinions and proposals were voiced, aimed at improving the efficiency of design, introducing digital solutions, and developing professional standards in the industry.
